A modifier group is a set of choices that are associated with an item. This is mainly used to be able to make choices such as frying, removing or adding ingredients or extra options.
Create an Modifier Group
Product Catalog → Modifiers → Create New Modifier Group.
The name of your modifier group can be, for example, Roast degree. Minimum and Max number of selections limit the number of modifiers that can be added. If you choose to activate Always open the detail view at checkout when selling , a choice of modifier is not required, however, it will be easier to select an modifier, if you do not activate this, you need to hold on to the product to bring up the detail view.
Create a modifier
Click Add modifier → Give modifier a name, choose whether the modifier affects the price, and choose whether this modifier should be pre-selected or not.
Then click save.
My Store → Product Catalog → Manage Extras → Create New Opt-in Group.
The name of your modifier group can be, for example, Roast degree. If you choose to activate Requires a choice, a choice of modifiers will be required to be able to add the item to the shopping cart. If you choose to activate Always open the detail view before adding to cart, a selection of modifiers is not required, however, it will be easier to select a modifier, if you do not activate this, you need to hold on to the product to get the detail view. Maximum number of modifiers limits to how many modifiers can be added.
Create a modifier
Click New modifier → Give the modifier a name, choose whether the modifier should affect the price, and choose whether this modifier should be preselected or not.
Then click save.
Linking a modifier group to an item
Product catalogue → Modifiers → Open the modifier group → Link products → Tick the desired products and save.
Attach a modifier group via the article view
It is also possible to connect a modifier group via the product view, then click on the modifier tab, select the modifier group and save.
Touch and hold the article → Modifier Groups → Select Modifier Group and save.
Did you know?
You can link ingredients to your modifiers, for example, if you have a modifier for extra cheese, you can link this modifier to your ingredient Cheese, then click in Backstage on the detail view for your modifier and select ingredients.
