Kitchen printer

Prev Next

A Kitchen printer is used in restaurants and cafes to print orders for the kitchen or bar. When an order is registered in the POS system, an order ticket is automatically printed on the correct printer, ensuring that staff can quickly see what needs to be cooked or prepared.

Want to take a step further?

With our Kitchen Display you can manage orders digitally – completely without paper. Smarter, faster and more sustainable.

Activate the order ticket printing feature

Go to Backstage → Merchants → Settings → Tick Enable order ticket printing function.

You will be able to choose what type of order ticket reference you want. You can choose between Automatic (1-999) or Free Text reference. The reference will be sent to the kitchen and will also be printed on the customer's receipt. If you wish to skip the receipt, only the reference receipt will be printed, you can choose to disable this at checkout by going to Printer → Turn off Print order ticket reference

Set up printer stations

With a printer station, you connect specific products or product groups to a specific kitchen printer. This means, for example, that food goes to the kitchen printer and drinks to the bar printer.

Create a Printer Station

Log in to Backstage → Kitchen → Printer stations → Add station. Then give the station a name, such as "Kitchen" or "Bar", choose the store and which products will be printed at this station

Connect printers to the right station

At checkout, go to My Store → Printers. Now you will see your different printer stations, then click on No printer selected and select the correct printer for each station.

Don't know which printer is which?

Select one of the printers from the list and Print sample receipt, and you will see in which printer the sample receipt is printed.
