Control unit
For the POS system to function correctly, constant communication with the control unit is required, in accordance with the Swedish Tax Agency's requirements. Yabie Express uses a cloud-based control unit with an uptime reliability of over 99.9%.
If the cash register loses contact with the control unit
In order for a cash register receipt to be produced, contact with the control unit is required, according to the Swedish Tax Agency's rules. If such a contact cannot be established, the cash register may not create a cash register receipt. To ensure that you can still continue the sale, we have built in a solution where the cash register automatically creates a cash invoice instead. Simply explained, this means that the sale is handled as invoicing, which does not require registration in a cash register – therefore it is allowed to continue the sale even if there is no contact with the control unit. You can continue to accept payment with the payment methods you normally use, and the cash register will create an invoice linked to the selected payment method.
If this happens, you will receive a notification at the checkout, then two receipts will be printed, one of which must be signed by the customer and then saved in order to be presented in the event of an inspection by the Tax Agency. The second receipt is given to the customer.
Reporting and bookkeeping are not affected
All sales are visible as usual in reports, SIE files and accounting integrations. The only difference is that sales are not reported under "Cash receipts", but under cash invoices. So you don't need to make any manual adjustments – everything is posted just as usual.
Traceability and the Swedish Tax Agency's requirements
The cash invoices are recorded in the cash register's journal and are fully traceable. You'll also receive a notification at checkout when this happens. Two receipts are printed: one for the customer and one that must be signed by the customer and saved by you, in case the Tax Agency requests to see it during an inspection.
